Born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Alabama, Chef Rox discovered his love for cooking at just five years old. Inspired by his father, who attended culinary school and did most of the cooking in their home, Rox was introduced early to recipes, techniques, discipline, and the joy of bringing people together through food. His culinary foundation was shaped by his entire family. From his mother, he learned the art of vegan cuisine and the importance of preparing food in a healthier, more conscious way. His grandmother, who grew up on a farm, taught him the traditions of Southern cooking, from sourcing the freshest produce and meats to understanding how quality ingredients can transform a dish. With both his mother and grandmother having roots in farming, Chef Rox learned that great cooking begins long before the kitchen — it begins with how you grow, source, select, and respect your ingredients.

What began as childhood curiosity eventually revealed itself as something much greater: a gift.

For the past 28 years, Chef Rox has built his career in the restaurant and culinary industry, working alongside some of the industry's most respected chefs and continuously sharpening his craft. His culinary journey has included mentorship and experience under Michelin-starred chefs and James Beard Award-winning chefs, giving him a deep appreciation for technique, creativity, discipline, hospitality, and the art of creating unforgettable dining experiences.

But Chef Rox's story isn't simply about mastering food — it's about understanding people.

Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of cooking for an extraordinary range of clients, including celebrities, professional athletes, fitness enthusiasts, blue-collar workers, busy professionals, and families on the go. His ability to move seamlessly between elevated culinary experiences and approachable, comforting meals is part of what makes his cooking so distinctive.

In 2026, Chef Rox graduated from Morehouse College with a degree in Business Administration, bringing together two sides of his passion: the artistry of culinary excellence and the strategy of entrepreneurship.

Today, Chef Rox proudly calls Atlanta home. Although born in the city and raised in Alabama, he returned to Atlanta in 2001 and has built his life, career, and culinary legacy there — a city he considers his forever home.

As the Founder and CEO of ROX CATERING CO., Chef Rox is building more than a catering company. He is creating a culinary brand rooted in excellence, hospitality, creativity, and connection — serving food that doesn't simply fill a plate, but creates an experience people remember.

From intimate gatherings to major celebrations, from celebrity clientele to hardworking families, Chef Rox believes everyone deserves to experience exceptional food.
